Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Midsouth Drone Services LLC collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Drone Pilot ADS-B app on iPhone, iPad and Android, and when you buy from pilotADSB.com.
Information We Collect
This section describes the Drone Pilot ADS-B app. If you are looking for what happens when you order a receiver from our store, see section 06.

How We Use It
Data collected by the app is used exclusively to operate and improve the Drone Pilot ADS-B app:
✓ Display your real-time position on the airspace map
✓ Validate your trial period and license status
✓ Validate the one-year license bundled with a pilotADSB Receiver
✓ Verify active subscriptions via the Apple App Store or Google Play
Sharing & Third Parties
We use a limited set of trusted third-party services to operate the app. We do not sell your data to any party. Services involved in store orders are listed separately in section 06.

Data Retention
Location data never reaches our servers at all. Your position is used on your device to draw the map and check airspace, and is not transmitted to us or stored by us.
Diagnostic and Bluetooth logs are written only to your own device. We cannot retrieve them — the only way we ever see a log is if you choose to save it and send it to us.
Identifiers and license status are retained while the app is installed and for as long as needed to honor an active subscription or license.
You can delete your data from inside the app at any time, without contacting anyone — the app includes a delete-my-data function that removes your trial and license status, device registrations and session history from our servers. Our Delete My Data page explains exactly what is removed and what is kept. You may also reach us through our contact form and we will permanently delete your data within 30 days.
Retention of store order records is covered in section 06.
Security
All data transmitted between the app and our servers uses TLS encryption. Firebase data is stored with AES-256 encryption. Orders placed on pilotADSB.com are processed over an encrypted connection by Shopify, our store platform. We follow industry best practices to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your information.
When You Buy From Our Store
Everything above describes the Drone Pilot ADS-B app, which is built to collect as little as possible. Buying hardware from pilotADSB.com is different: to take an order and ship you a receiver we do need ordinary contact and delivery details. This section covers store purchases only.

We share order information only with the parties needed to complete the order: Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf; our payment provider, which handles the transaction; and the shipping carrier delivering your package. Nobody else receives it.
Order records are kept for as long as we need them to honor warranties and returns and to meet tax and accounting requirements, which is typically several years. You can ask us to delete your customer account and associated personal details at any time through our contact form, and we will do so within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep a record of the transaction itself.
Children's Privacy
Drone Pilot ADS-B is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us through our contact form and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, whether it came from the app or from a store order. California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and to opt out of data sales. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any privacy right, reach us through our contact form, or use the delete-my-data function built into the app. You may cancel your subscription at any time — on iPhone and iPad in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, and on Android through the Google Play Store. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
